Zingana

African zebrawood (Microberlinia bisulcata)
Zebrano is a medium-heavy to heavy wood and is roughly comparable to our native oak. The texture is reminiscent of a zebra pattern, which is where the name came from. Zebrano is permanent to moderately permanent outdoors. This wood is more typically used as an upholstery wood since it is quite decorative. The wood has its home in Africa, where it occurs only in very few countries. It is not always available and quite rare.
